Of Romanesque design, the church was built in 1892. St. George added small onion domes to the base of the steeple when they took over the structure.

Historic Churches of Tremont - St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church
St. Augustine occupies the original Pilgrim UCC building, which they sold to the parish after the current Pilgrim building was completed. The red brick church, built from 1865 to 1870, is an excellent example of Victorian architecture in the Western Reserve. The parish is noted for its hunger and community outreach programs.
