Rooms are done with somewhat frilly Victorian-inspired decor and, at least in some cases, could stand some updating, but overall this is a solid option. Rooms are warmly furnished with an air of simplicity - one unit is a full suite with sitting room, and the playfully named Naughty Pine Room has a private entrance and deck along with high ceilings. One of the scads of great java hangouts on gay-popular Capitol Hill, Bauhaus Books & Coffee has huge windows that afford great people-watching, carries a wide selection of books and newspapers (much related to design and architecture), and pours some of the best coffee in a city that's famous for it.
