Kew Palace - Kew Gardens London
Kew Palace is the smallest and most intimate of the royal palaces. A visit to Kew Palace firstly means a visit to Kew Gardens as it is located within. Kew Palace was the residence of George II's daughters, then the family home of George III. You will discover it's origins as a rich merchant's house to its time as the royal home of George III and members of his family. Page 13.

British Museum: Easter Island Statue
Basalt statue known as Hoa Hakananai'a(probably 'Stolen or hidden friend')This statue, representing an ancestral figure, was possibly first displayed in the open air. It was later moved into a stome house at Orongo, the center of a birdman cult. Low-relief designs carved on the back are associated with this cult. The statue seems to have been used in both contexts to express ideas about leadership and authority.Donated by H M Queen Victoria. Page 10.
