Ski Resort Review - Mt. Baldy, California
Mt. Baldy is a (black) diamond in the rough. It is possible to be on the slopes skiing in an hour from LA, yet it offers the most challenging terrain in the country. During the winter season, genuine powder dumps aren't unheard of, while the snow is otherwise consistently nice area-appropriate snow, soft granular snow.

This is a great family resort. If you don't have the time or moneyto go to Bachelor or Tahoe I recommend staying in McCloud at the Wren's Nest Vacation home and skiing at Mt. Shasta Ski Park.
