Top 10 Xbox 360 Games of 2010
2010 was one of the best years in recent memory in terms of overall game quality. For the last couple of years there were only one or two really great games. 2010 was stacked from top to bottom, January to December. in every genre with good games. Selecting our 10 favorites left a few other deserving games off the list, but this list represents the best, most memorable games that stuck with us through the whole year.

Best Xbox 360 Games of 2006
2006 was a fantastic year for the Xbox 360. Lots of games were released and, more importantly, lots of good-to-great level games were released. Picking the ten best for this list was quite a challenge to say the least. Here are our picks of the Top 10 Xbox 360 Games of 2006.

Most Surprisingly Good Xbox 360 Games of 2009
Expectations can be cruel. Sometimes you expect greatness and are disappointed, and sometimes you expect nothing and are pleasantly surprised. This list covers the latter instead of the former. We looked through all of the Xbox 360 games that came out this year and focused on the titles we either had low or no expectations for that came out and rocked our world. These are the best off the radar, underappreciated, low profile games that we didn't expect much of that turned out awesome.

Most Disappointing Xbox 360 Games of 2009

Our picks for the Most Disappointing Xbox 360 Games of 2009 aren't necessarily bad games (in fact, many of them reviewed quite well), but they are games that we expected to be better and were let down by the final product.

Ten Worst Xbox 360 Games
The Xbox 360 has been out for three years now, and while there have been a lot of great games released in that time, the 360 has seen its fair share of bad games as well. There isn't quite anything as epically terrible as Drake of the 99 Dragons or Aquaman like we saw on the original Xbox, but there are plenty of stinkers that could reach those heights of fame and misfortune. Check out our full list of the Ten Worst Xbox 360 Games right here.

Top Ten Overlooked Xbox 360 Games
There are a lot of great games out there that get overlooked for one reason or another. Here is our list, in no particular order, of the ten best Xbox 360 games you probably haven't played.

Best Xbox 360 Games of 2009
The year is nearly over and all the big titles are out, so it is time to share my picks for the best Xbox 360 games of the year. 2009 was a rough year for the 360 (2010 is going to be amazing, though), so it was kind of slim pickings as far as what games to pick from. In the end, I went back to the old standard of

What Is Your Favorite Xbox 360 Game?
The Xbox 360 has been around for 4+ years now and has seen hundreds of games released for it. We know what our favorites are, but now we want to know what Xbox 360 games you have liked the best. Retail, Xbox Live Arcade, and Indie games are all acceptable answers. And you don't have to just say popular or even well reviewed games. We want to know what your individual favorites are.

What Are Your 2011 Gaming Resolutions?
When the year ends, many people like to wipe the slate clean and start fresh for the new year by setting out goals that will make the new year different. Saving more money, losing weight, being nicer to people, not kicking puppies, contributing more to charity. Etc. Gamers do the same thing, such as wanting to beat more games, try new genres, buy a new system, stop being a jerk on Xbox Live, and, yes, losing weight. What are your gaming goals for 2011? Share them here!

Gears of War is Microsoft's Xbox 360 killer app for 2006 and you can find screenshots, previews, trailers, and more right here.

Carcassonne Review (XBLA)
Another classic European board game takes a stab at Xbox Live Arcade glory this week, and Carcassonne, like Catan before it, is an amazingly fun game that works perfectly on the XBLA. Carcassonne actually bests Catan in a few key ways, such as having a faster paced game and local multiplayer, to make it stand as easily the best of the two. Whether you already love the game or have never played it before, Carcassonne is absolutely worth checking out.

Mad Tracks Review (XBLA)
Mad Tracks brings vehicular combat to the Xbox Live Arcade and offers up a decent list of modes, fun gameplay, and above average presentation. There is certainly fun to be had here, but it is somewhat short lived and after you run through everything a couple of times there isn't much to bring you back. Find out the full story in our full review.

Shadow Complex Review (XBLA)
Imagine, if you will, if Super Metroid and Metal Gear Solid got together and had a baby. The result would be Shadow Complex. It is a game of upgrades, exploration, crazy conspiracies, boss battles, and more all in an isolated military complex. And the best part is that it looks like a current-gen, Unreal Engine game but is played from a 2D side-scrolling perspective. It pairs amazing presentation with amazing gameplay to create one of the best XBLA games yet.

Texas Hold 'em Review (XBLA)
The long awaited Xbox Live Arcade version of Texas Hold 'em is available now but it is worth your 800 points? Find out in our full review.

Videogame movies aren’t going to be winning any Oscars any time soon, but they are still pretty fun to watch. Grab some popcorn and a few friends and waste away an evening or two with these DVDs. Just make sure to check your expectations at the door.

FIFA Street Review
NBA Street is great. NFL Street is interesting. FIFA Street is ... not so interesting and nowhere near greatness. This is simply a bad game. Find out what went wrong in our review.

Alien Hominid HD Review (XBLA)
Alien Hominid HD is a quirky little arcade-style shooter that is fast, frantic, and very fun to play. Think of Contra or Metal Slug and that should give you a good idea of what the game plays like. The graphics are gorgeous, and it provides the perfect mix of challenge and fun to keep you coming back for more. This XBLA game is definitely worth the 800 point investment.

Beyond Good & Evil HD Review (XBLA)
Beyond Good & Evil is a cult classic from the PS2 / Xbox / GameCube days. Ubisoft has given it an HD facelift for the new generation, but does the game still hold up? Find out in our review.

Torchlight Review (XBLA)
Torchlight brings Diablo-style hack-and-slash loot collecting to the Xbox Live Arcade. And it is good. Darn good. Find out all of the details here in our review.

Pac-Man Championship Edition Review (XBLA)
Microsoft and Namco shocked the videogame world by announcing Pac-Man Championship Edition exclusively for Xbox Live Arcade, the first real update to Pac-Man in over 25 years. New graphics, new stages, and a new gameplay mechanic that continuously reseeds the map with dots and power pellets, Pac-Man CE is a fresh take on an old classic that is surprisingly good. Find out all about it in our full review.

RoboBlitz Review (XBLA)
RoboBlitz marks the debut of the Unreal Engine 3 in the Xbox Live Arcade, and the result is undeniably impressive from a graphics and physics standpoint. This game looks really, really good. It is just too bad the gameplay underneath isn't really all that fun.

Small Arms Review (XBLA)
Small Arms is an original title developed for the Xbox Live Arcade that tries to mimic Nintendo's Super Smash Bros series. The main differences here are that there is a much greater focus on weapons, and that the characters featured here aren't even in the same stratosphere as Smash Bros' lineup. This is an important thing to note because nostalgia and fanboy/nerdiness accounts for a good amount of Smash Bros' appeal. Small Arms just doesn't have that and the result is kind of boring.

Uno Review (X360)
Uno has made its long awaited debut on the Xbox Live Arcade and the wait has been worth it. It is amazing how so simple of a game can be so fun and addictive. Do yourself a favor and spend the 400 points for Uno.

Worms Review (XBLA)
Worms is a turn-based strategy game where you pit teams of worms against each other in all out warfare. Bombs. Guns. Sheep. Anything is fair game. This unique and funny take on turn-based combat has proven to be a cult hit on the PC over the years, and now it makes an appearance on the Xbox Live Arcade. It is a bit bare bones compared to some of the other versions of the game out there, but it is still amazingly fun and worth the 800 points.

Prey Profile (Xbox 360)
Prey uses an enhanced version of the Doom 3 engine to create breathtaking graphics and solid FPS gameplay. The next big shooter for Xbox 360 is here.

Risk: Factions Review (XBLA)
Risk: Factions is everything that makes the board game Risk great, plus a fresh new spin on the old formula. If you want to play a classic game of Risk where your goal is to dominate the world, you can. If you want to play a new objective-based version of Risk with cats, zombies, robots, and yet, you can. There is something for everyone here. Risk: Factions is a great addition to an already strong XBLA board game lineup.

DDR Universe 2 Review (X360)
Konami has delivered its second Xbox 360 DDR game of 2007, but we’re not sure if we should be excited or concerned. DDR Universe 2, unfortunately, has the exact same flaws as Universe 1 – a weak song list being the biggest offender – which makes it pretty hard to recommend if you already put down $70 back in February for the first game. The core gameplay in DDR Universe 2 is as solid as ever, but it really struggles in terms of overall value.
